It’s the end of the month and it looks like this November will be the warmest on record for the East of England. It’s also the end of the meteorological autumn (September, October and November) which looks on course for being the second warmest autumn on record As we head into the meteorological winter, I’m sure many of you are wondering if there are any signs of it getting cold and wintry! Apart from a fairly cold day on Friday, temperatures still look like they will be above the seasonal average for the start of December, but things are certainly turning more unsettled. We no longer have high pressure close by, which means we are vulnerable to Atlantic lows and fronts crossing the region. So there will be quite a bit of rain at times (much welcome for some areas) accompanied by blustery winds. But for those of you asking, there’s still no sign of any snow…just yet
7 days until December and no signs of it getting any colder (just yet) in fact temperatures tomorrow could still reach highs of 13 degrees…very impressive for the time of year! We have had a murky couple of days though, with mist and fog plaguing many parts of the region but with strengthening winds from tonight that should help clear it all away. There will be some patchy rain overnight Thursday and Saturday but for most of the daylight hours it will be dry for the next few days with some bright or sunny spells – but also variable amounts of cloud which can sometimes be difficult to forecast at this time of year so please go easy on us if we don’t get it spot on! :-) Do get in touch if you have any interesting weather stories, or send us your fab pictures! We would love to hear from you. Speak soon. Amanda x
The mild weather continues. November and the autumn as a whole still look like being among the mildest on record in the Anglia region.
